In January 2022, our Founder Michelle took a leap and launched MdM with a simple mission: to provide reliable, stress-free bookkeeping that helps businesses thrive. Since opening our doors, we’ve continued to grow and welcome incredible new clients into our bookkeeping family.

In 2023, Michelle’s daughter Kayla joined the business, forming a dynamic mother-daughter duo with over 30+ years of combined experience in the industry. Together, we bring both expertise and a personal touch to everything we do.

And the growth didn’t stop there—since then, we’ve welcomed two amazing new team members, expanding our capacity to serve you even better!

Michelle Gregory, Founder

Meet Michelle!

With over 25 years of experience in bookkeeping and office management, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to MdM. She has worked across a variety of industries—including private and public healthcare, construction, optometry, manufacturing, and dentistry—giving her a well-rounded understanding of diverse business needs.

Michelle is the go-to expert in the office for everything from tax questions to incorporation guidance, and she personally oversees all client files to ensure the highest level of accuracy and care in our work. Her dedication to detail and client service is the backbone of MdM Bookkeeping.

When she’s not crunching numbers, Michelle enjoys relaxing with her husband and their pups, spending time with her grandson and kids, and making the most of her weekends with family.

Kayla Harley, CEO

Meet Kayla!

Kayla earned her Business Administration Diploma from SAIT in 2020 and quickly began building her accounting experience in industries such as security, automotive, and freight transportation. Since joining MdM Bookkeeping in 2023, she has expanded her expertise into new sectors including construction, real estate, and sports medicine—with a focus on massage and physiotherapy clinics.

In addition to her bookkeeping work, Kayla manages our social media presence, helping us stay connected with clients and showcase helpful financial tips. She also recently completed her Payroll Certificate through the National Payroll Institute, equipping her with certified skills to better serve our clients' payroll needs.

Outside of the office, Kayla enjoys quality time with her husband, son, and their dog. On weekends, you’ll often find her out and about, making memories and soaking up time with family.

Jessica Smith, Bookkeeper

Meet Jessica!

Jessica earned her Business Administration diploma from Red Deer College and spent over 11 years honing her accounting skills as an Accounts Payable/Receivables Clerk for a large home builder in Lethbridge. Her background in the construction industry has given her a strong foundation in financial operations and vendor management.

Since joining MdM Bookkeeping, she has broadened her expertise beyond accounts payable to include payroll, taxes, and billing. She is excited to continue expanding her skills and contributing to the diverse needs of MdM’s clients.

In December 2024, she relocated to Okotoks with her husband and baby, and they’ve been enjoying everything the community has to offer. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family—whether it’s going for walks, camping, boating, travelling, or enjoying the outdoors together.
